Jiu-jitsu is a martial art rooted in effective self-defense by using proper body mechanics and angles to defeat an assailant. Through the study of Jiu-Jitsu, your body will mechanically improve. From this, all areas of your life will develop as you learn new kinds of humility and confidence along your journey. It is important to spend time on specific techniques. We also drill and train in certain environments and of course, we "roll," which is the jiu-jitsu way of sparring.

Throughout each year, we are able to train with other schools from the Pedro Sauer Association. Unlike a lot of other associations, Pedro Sauer schools have camps and "Affiliate Days" many times a year. It helps our jiu-jitsu improve and we enjoy the comradery that comes from training with folks from other Association schools.
There's no doubt that jiu-jitsu will help you get in better shape. Our conditioning classes focus on the areas of the body that are used primarily in jiu-jitsu and self-defense: the core, hips, shoulder girdle, hands and back. We use kettlebells, body-weight movements and stretching to improve our strength, cardiovascular system and skeletal structures.
